All active LOTRO servers are listed here under one of two headings, "Live Servers" and "Special Status Servers". Individual server pages will contain additional information.

Live Servers

Here you will find listed all Live Production Servers, including servers that may also be listed under "Special Status Servers" If a Live Server has also been designated by players as a gathering place for a certain type of player, including those in certain time zones, it will also be listed under "Special Status Servers-Unofficially Designated Servers".

All Live Servers, including those with special, player designated, status, are accessible by any player with an active LOTRO Account.

Special Status Servers

Special Status Servers fall into one of two categories, "Preview Servers" and "Unofficially Designated Servers".

Preview Servers

These servers have content, fixes, and updates that are not yet available on the Live Servers. These servers require the download and installation of a seperate LOTRO client.

An Open Preview Server is available to all players with an active LOTRO account, and is not subject to a Preview (Non Disclosure) Agreement.

A Private Preview Server is accessible by invitation only, and is subject to a Preview (Non Disclosure) Agreement.

Unofficially Designated Servers

These are Live Servers which have been unofficially designated, by groups of like-minded players, as gathering places for players interested in certain playstyles (i.e., Role Playing), or other considerations (i.e., Time Zones).

Turbine does not offer special support for these servers, nor do they officially recognize any player based designation. All such servers are open to all players, and are subject to the same policies and procedures as any other Live Server. They are listed here only to facilitate server choice for new players.

Policies

While only players on a Private Preview Server are subject to a Preview (Non Disclosure) Agreement, all players, on all server types, are subject to all of Turbine's other policies and procedures.

Every player agreed to accept, and adhere to, these policies when creating their LOTRO Account. It is imperative that players read, understand and abide by these policies, in order to maintain a healthy gaming community.
