Class: Lore-master

  • Class Difficulty: Advanced
  • Role: Support
  • Gameplay: Lore-masters are the masters of crowd-control, skills that trap foes and keep them from fighting. They may call on animal companions to fight by their side and even call on elemental forces to damage their foes. In fellowships, a Lore-master concentrates on supporting his allies, primarily by hindering the foe's ability to deal damage.
  • Lore: Lore-masters are seekers of knowledge and the guardians of wisdom. Through study of bygone Ages, they learn ancient secrets that allow them to hinder foes, as well as protect against the dark powers of the Enemy. They have many skills that invoke the natural world of Middle-earth, but it is draining on the will, thus costing them Morale to fuel some of these powerful skills.

    This class was inspired by Elrond Halfelven, Elf-lord and Master of Rivendell.

Fast Loader Class You have perfected the art of mixing blasting powder faster and making it harder to be resisted. 45
Flame of Anor Class Your fire-based skills inflict 10% greater damage. 45
Force of Will Legendary Your Sign of Power: See All Ends magnitude has increased. This also increases the duration of Fire-lore, Frost-lore, Sign of Power: Command, Sign of Power: See All Ends and Ancient Craft. 101 25
Friend of the Wild Characteristic Allows the use of non-combat companions. 0
Hardy Companion Class The power of your Companions is increased. 45
Harmony with Nature Class Reduces power costs and the casting time of your overt displays of nature's wrath. This includes: Cracked Earth, Gust of Wind, Burning Embers, Light of the Rising Dawn, Lightning-storm, and Ents go to War. 45
Healer Class You gain a number of bonuses to your healing and restorative skills. 45
Improved Flanking Class Working in tandem with your Companion, when you use your Sign of Battle on a Flanked target you are able to share your healing with the target of your Air-lore. 45
Improved Inner Flame Class Inner Flame now affects nearby fellows, but no longer transfers threat. 45
Improved Sign of Battle Class Your understanding of the Sign of Battle has increased, lending some increased power to your secret sign. 45
Improved Sign of Power: Command Class Your keen understanding of the Sign of Power: Command, means you can now harm the evade and block chances of your foes. 45
Improved Sticky Gourd Legendary This trait makes your Sticky Gourd into a lasting AOE hotspot. 101 25
Knowledge of Storms Class Your knowledge of Storms has increased causing you to make your Lightning attacks more dangerous. 45
Knowledge of the Past Class All of your skills have a chance to restore a small amount of Power. 45
Light of Hope Class Beacon of Hope has a lower Morale cost, recovers faster and has a shorter cast time. 45
March of the Ents Legendary Only the Eldar and Wizards rival your knowledge of nature. You are able to bring down the wrath of the natural world upon your foes. 101 25
Master of Beasts Class Your knowledge of the Signs of the Wild gives you greater control over them, increasing their effectiveness as well allowing both Signs at the same time. This also enables these signs to remove poison, fear, wound and disease effects from your companion. 45
Master of the Staff Class Staff Strike is more damaging, deals Light damage, will stun opponents on a Critical Hit and will do bonus damage against flanked enemies. Your training also makes you more confident in battle. 45
Nature-friend Legendary You are a friend of the Nature Dwellers and may summon one to aid you. 101 25
Noble Savage Legendary Your companions have better morale, attack increase, raised critical chances, increased stealth detection, increased stealth and greater defensive capabilties. You must resummon the companion for this to take effect. 101 25
Power and Wisdom Class Your Power of Knowledge skill is significantly improved; lasting longer, draining more power, and having a shorter cooldown. 45
Proof against All Ills Class Your Knowledge of Cures now works on all fellowship members within an area-of-effect. 45
Sword and Staff - Legendary Legendary You gain improved skill in melee combat. 101 25
Tactically Adept Class You are able to deliver your Sticky Gourd attack more quickly. 45
The Secret of Tar Class Your sticky tar has its induction and cooldown reduced. 45

As with other classes, Lore-masters have 4 Legendary traits: 3 gained from books and the 4th gained by completing 2 class specific quest chains.

Below is a list of the 4 Legendary Lore-master traits. The first trait is from a book where the pages will drop for anyone with or without the book so may be traded, purchased in the Auction House or otherwise obtained by those,of that class, seeking that trait.

The Next two required books, you will need the deeds started to get the pages to drop from the appropriate creatures.
