Burgo is wanted for questioning by the Watch in connection to a rash of pie burglaries that have swept through the towns Michel Delving, Hobbiton, Frogmorton, Budgeford and Stock, among other possibly related incidents. Preliminary reports indicate that some of the tastiest pies have been sampled or outright burgled in broad daylight!

He was last seen heading east out of the Shire boundaries toward Bree, with a pie in his arms. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact your local town Sherriff or the nearest Bounder.

[edit] Of Pies and Burgling

A soft breeze blows through the open window, gently tugging at the yellow curtains that hang there. From within the darkened room can be heard the soft humming of a small hobbit as she busily finishes the dish washing, having just put a freshly baked pie on the window sill to cool.

The breeze catches hold of the pie's rich, sweet aroma and swirls it around the small kitchen before carrying it back out the window and across the small village. The baker finishes the last pan and turns to remove the pie from the window, only to stop in mid-step, staring in confusion at the empty window where her pie is no longer sitting.

In the shade of a large tree, a shadowy figure sits and enjoys the last bite of the stolen pie, slowly licking moist filling from each finger one by one. Relishing in the day's victory, the figure settles back for a short nap. Pie burgling is an art that requires great patience and skill, and one that can be quite dangerous in some parts of the Shire...
