[edit] Description

Cap, the brash young captain of Bree-land leads his party with cunning bravado and almost reckless abandon. His cocksure attitude gives him an air of arrogance, and his rude and belligerent behavior is at times unnerving. However, when the chips are down there is no one better to have at your side than Cap. Known for leading his men into and out of the most harrowing situations, he has gained the reputation in Bree-land of being crazy, daring, and an undeniably bold personality.

[edit] Bio

Known only as "Cap" to most, many figure this to be a nickname given to him considering that he is, in fact, a captain. However, "Cap" is actually his name given lovingly (and begrudgingly) by his father, Cal Ashwood, who wished that one day he would become a captain as he was. Cap would later come to drop the surname "Ashwood" due to bitterness between him and his relatives which further heightened the confusion.

Cal Ashwood was a well known Captain of Bree-land, and Cap always lived in his father's shadow. When Cap was just a baby, his father had sacrificed himself in order to save his men from a roving band of Orcs. Cal single-handedly held off an attack, allowing the others to withdraw and regroup, but the Orcish horde overcame him and he was slain.

Cap's mother died soon afterwards of illness, leaving Cap in the care of relatives. He never seemed to have a permanent home as one relative would soon pawn him off on another relative, sending him packing once again. Cap soon realized that he was perceived as a burden to them and began to resent them for it - often acting out in a rebellious manner. His relatives soon turned him away, and Cap was forced to live on his own in the countryside although he was only 15 at the time.

It wasn't long until Cap began hanging out with "the bad crowd," associating himself with local gangs. They would go out to create mischief and anarchy wherever they could, much to the chagrin of the townspeople and to the embarrassment of his relatives. Due to an almost preternatural ability, Cap often found himself leading these groups of youths in their trouble making, and it wasn't long until he was made leader of the gang.

However, Cap's real trouble's began when he became involved with the Blackwolds. While Cap's gang were responsible of nothing more than petty theft and vandalism, these brigands were bloodthirsty cutthroats and robbers. Cap's conscience got the better of him and he attempted to withdraw his group from the Blackwold's scheme against Archet. While his friends were able to escape, Cap was captured and held prisoner by the Blackwolds for fear that he would reveal their plan.

With the help of his friend Fancy, Cap was able to escape the clutches of the Blackwolds, and help to warn the people of Archet of the impending danger. Soon afterwards he would join the Bree-land militia in an attempt to right the wrongs of his past. Although still somewhat young, his talent for command was obvious and he quickly became promoted to captain. Sometimes he feels that his father had it all planned from the beginning...
