Name

This server is named for the white jewel that was the greatest treasure of the Kings of Erebor. For over 150 years, Smaug kept it as part of his hoard, until Bilbo Baggins found it. It now lies entombed at the Lonely Mountain with the remains of Thorin Oakenshield.

History

Arkenstone was one of a group of four servers launched on April 6, 2007, at the start of LOTRO's Open Beta.
