[edit] Crafting Quest Guide (Item Collection Quests)
[edit] Which Crafting Quests are you talking about?
- This is not a guide to the quests that are required to advance in crafting skills. Those quests tend to be fairly straight forward and well explained in the note provided by the quest giver. If you need help though, I suggest checking under the Crafting Guides section of the Community Created Guides.
- Rather, this is a guide to quickly and easily assembling all the necessary items for the quests given out in the starting areas to collect crafted items.
- Sadly, both are generally referred to as Crafting Quests, which made it very difficult for me to come up with a less confusing title for this article!
[edit] Why would I do this?
- Many of us have multiple alts at this point and often have most of the crafting professions at least started if not finished already.
- Having made multiple alts, we've already done a lot of the opening content multiple times.
- When creating a new alt (for example, say, a Rune-Keeper or Warden with the upcoming Moria release...), many of us would like to get to at least the mid-level content as quickly as possible.
- Which brings me back here. There are 22 level 6 and 11 crafting collection quests scattered throughout the opening areas. When making a new alt, if you create all the necessary items using your other characters (or buy them at AH) or whatever, these are 22 quests that you can simply turn in as soon as you get them. :)

[edit] Quick Tips
- Don't forget to buy a set of vendor tools to make these items.
- Critted items won't satisfy the quest requirements! In order to avoid crits, consider crafting everything with your newly created character, switching crafting professions whenever needed.
