Description

The original Grey Company joined Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas, along with the sons of Elrond and a company of rangers from the North that were Aragorns brethren. 

The name "Grey Company" was selected as the kin name out of a desire to have lore based name.

Recently the in-game content has caught up with us with the latest story arc, Oath of the Rangers, incorporating the Grey Company's contributions in the fight against Sauron.  This quest arc has recently continued with the update to Enedwaith.

Don't be fooled by people that have earned Grey Company related titles.  Come join the real thing and hook up with the Grey Company kinship!

What Can You Expect?

We regularly run Great Barrows (GB) and Garth Agarwen (GA) for our newer members, as well as Grand Stair (GS) for those looking for Moria armor or medallions for relics.  We often run multi-person skirmishes as members need or are interested. 

We have supreme master and guild kindred crafters for every type of crating in the game.

Requirements

There are no requirements to be a member of Grey Company.  We are a casual kinship and are only looking to have some fun.  We just ask members to be friendly and helpful, but there are no level, racial, or playing style requirements.

However, there is a time period before new recruits can expect to become full members. 

Officer Requirements

• Be helpful; demonstrated by helping other kin members with quests.
• Know the content - it is easier to help members with the content when you've actually experienced it first-hand.  For this reason there is an expectation that an officer candidate will have gotten at least one character into Moria (Level 45+)
• Help with recruiting - to keep the kin active we are constantly looking for new people that fit into our "family" to replace people that have moved on to other games.  If you want to be an officer there is an expectation that you will help with this process.

Grey Company was formed when LOTRO was publicly released.  The original members also participated in the beta, and closed beta.
