Creating an alias
An alias is a command shorthand.
The format is:
/alias ;shortcommand fullcommand
where shortcommand is the shortened version of the command you wish to use and fullcommand is the full length command.
For example, to create a shortened version of the invite command, you would type the following command in the chat box:
/alias ;i /invite
This creates a simple alias, so the next time you type ";i" (no quotes) in the chat bar followed by a name, it will automatically fill in the line, "/invite" for you.
All of the alias commands are:
/alias - Adds a new alias.
/alias add - Adds a new alias, the same as /alias.
/alias remove - Removes an alias.
/alias list - Lists all alias'.
/alias clearlist - Clears ALL alias' in the alias list.
More than one alias can be strung together in another alias or shortcut command, however, only the first ; gets properly expanded into a command. To workaround this, on the second and subsequent alias commands in the string, use 2 ; rather than 1 to prefix the alias.
Creating a shortcut
A shortcut is a command that may be saved into a quickslot location.
/shortcut # command where # is the key number for the slot you want the shortcut in and command is the full command you wish the shortcut to execute.
Each quickbar has a specific number assigned to them, which are as follows in the table below:

When using "/alias shortcut" statements, the quickslots are numbered from 0 to 71. When using "/shortcut" statements, the quickslots are numbered from 1 to 72.
Location commands
/loc outputs your absolute game location coordinates
;loc outputs your NS-EW coordinates.
Most people get tired of seeing other people give out their location constantly while looking for something, whether it's through the kin chat, fellowship, or someone just close to you saying, "35.3W, 65.3S" over and over. There are several methods to avoid spamming your location to others. Either of these methods could also be converted to shortcuts by modifying the command. Sometimes writing ;loc into a command will cause it the map a static location coordinate to your alias/shortcut. To workaround this problem, create your alias inside a player house or othe instanced area where ;loc normally does not function.
The Tell Method
/alias ;l /tell yourname ;loc
The User Channel Method
- Check the filters list on your chat tabs by right-clicking on them and checking the filters list. Make sure at least one of your chat tabs is setup to receive all four User Channels.
- /joinchannel yournamehere (take note of what slot # your channel is created in)
- /alias ;l /# ;loc (where # represents the slot # from step 2)
