Introduction

Greetings, fellow hunter. I have created this guide to give you a quick run down on some of the main additions to the hunter class in the Mines of Moria Expansion. I hope it helps you!

[NOTE: Very significant changes from Book 7 have not been entered.]

-Faldir of Elendilmir

  • Please note that all damage numbers and stats are shown without having any traits or armor equipped. Only the Bow of Skill is equipped as an example level 60 weapon. Otherwise, the damage shown would have been "Bonus Damage".

Skills 52-60

Level 52: Improved Merciful Shot

When your enemy falls below 50% of its health, you may make a shot which inflicts massive damage and removes corruptions on the target.

  • Ranged Weapon + 411 Damage
  • Requires mob to be at 50% health or less
  • Removes up to 3 Corruption effects from the target
  • Cost: 149 Power
  • Cost: 6 Focus
  • Cooldown: 30 seconds

Level 54: Improved Swift Bow

You are able to loose three missiles in rapid succession.

  • 3 Attacks: Ranged Weapon + 42 (each)
  • Cost: 111 Power
  • Adds 2 Focus
  • Induction: 2 seconds
  • Cooldown: 10 seconds

Level 56: Stance: Fleet

You take a stance which improves mobility, reducing auto-attack miss penalty for movement. Stance ends if you fall to zero focus and cannot be used outside of combat.

  • Requires at least 1 Focus
  • Removes 1 Focus every 1 second
  • Cannot be used outside of Combat
  • -60% Moving Miss Chance
  • +5 Before Focus loss from Movement
  • Cost: 70 Power
  • Cooldown: 30 seconds
  • PLEASE NOTE: You CANNOT use skills while moving with this stance!

Level 58: Distracting Shot

You can fire an arrow that will daze the target.

  • Ranged Weapon Damage
  • 10 second Daze
  • 100% break chance on damage after 2 seconds
  • Cost: 162 Power
  • Adds 1 to Focus
  • Cooldown: 3 minutes

Level 60: Burn Hot

Drawing upon deep reserves, you let fly with great strength and precision. The result is impressive, but so is the cost.

  • +50% Ranged Damage
  • +200% Ranged Skill Power Cost
  • Duration: 20 seconds
  • On Expiration:
    • Power Reserves Depleted (Power set at 1/1)
    • Duration: 5 seconds
  • Cost: 12 Power
  • Cooldown: 10 minutes

Moria Traits: The New and The Old ; Trait Lines

  • Asterisks (*) around the name of the trait indicate it is a newly added trait with Mines of Moria.

The Bowmaster Trait Line

True Shot

Your Penetrating Shot pierces more deeply through your enemy's armour, ignoring more of the armour's damage reduction.

  • -8% Target Penetrating Shot Mitigation

Hail of Arrows

You have a greater chance of landing critical hits with your Rain of Arrows, and the critical hits do more damage.

  • +3600 Rain of Arrows Critical Rating
  • +25% Rain of Arrows Critical Multiplier

Barbed Fury

Wounds caused by your Barbed Arrow bleed more profusely.

Swift and True

Your Swift Bow inflicts greater damage to your enemies.

  • +8% Swift Bow Damage

Deadly Precision

When you land a Critical Hit with a ranged attack, your focus increases by 1.

**The Quality of Mercy**

This increases the critical damage multiplier of Merciful Shot from 2x to 3x.

  • +100% Merciful Shot Critical Multiplier

**Critical Eye**

This increases the critical chance of all of your ranged attacks.

  • +480 Ranged Critical Rating

**Shot Through The Heart**

This increases the critical chance of Heart Seeker, and is one of the many reasons why hunters are so feared by the fell creatures of Middle Earth.

  • +1200 Heart Seeker Critical Rating

  • 2 Traits Equipped - Improved Bow Critical Multiplier
  • 3 Traits Equipped - Increased Bow Critical Multiplier, Strength Stance Damage and Threat
  • 4 Traits Equipped - Increased Damage, Threat, and Power Cost in Strength Stance
  • 5 Traits Equipped - Cool Burn Legendary usage activated

The Trapper of Foes Trait Line

Sturdy Traps

It is more difficult for enemies to break free of your traps.

**Combat Traps**

Your Set Trap may now be used in combat.

**Strong Intimidation**

Your fear skills last longer.

  • +5 Fear Duration

Graceful Draw

Your Endurance Stance further reduces the power cost and threat generation of your ranged skills.

Deep Concentration

Your Intent Concentration also restores some power, in addition to its normal effects.

Heightened Senses

Your exceptional senses allow you to track creatures over a greater distance, even if they are using stealth, and to more easily detect creatures using stealth.

**Heart of the Bard**

This enables you to reset Heart Seeker on a critical from Bard's Arrow. This skill does not stack with any other on critical effects.

Stealthy Shot

Beneath Notice lasts 10 seconds longer and draws even less attention from your enemies.

  • 3 Traits Equipped - Improved Rain of Thorns and Trap Skills, Reduced Ranged Damage
  • 4 Traits Equipped - Improved Penetrating Shot and Trap Skills, Reduced Ranged Damage
  • 5 Traits Equipped - Explosive Arrow Legendary Usage activated

- Please note, Improved Penetrating Shot is given a Root BUT is lengthened to a 1 MINUTE cooldown!

The Huntsmen Trait Line

Enduring Precision

Your focus increases by 1 every 10 seconds while you are in a Precision Stance.

Fast Draw

You are able to release your Barbed Arrow and Swift Bow more quickly.

  • -0.1s Barbed Arrow Induction
  • -0.2s Swift Bow Induction

Swift Recovery

Your Needful Haste and Intent Concentration recover more quickly.

  • -60s Needful Haste and Intent Concentration cooldown

Strong Draw

The Focus Cost for your Penetrating Shot is reduced by 1.

Arrow Storm

The Focus Cost for your Rain of Arrows is reduced by 1.

**Resolute Aim**

The trait prevents setback inductions while using Needful Haste.

**Bow and Blade**

This enables your dual-wield melee skills to have an additional strike.

Rapid Recovery

All of your melee skills recover more quickly than before.

  • -2 seconds Melee Skills cooldown

  • 2 Traits Equipped - Reduce Focus Loss From Movement
  • 3 Traits Equipped - Improved Strength of the Earth and Bow Inductions
  • 4 Traits Equipped - Improved Press Onward and Bow Inductions
  • 5 Traits Equipped - Improved Fleet Stance Legendary usage activated

-Please Note: Imp. Strength of the Earth does not have an initial induction.

..............Imp. Press Onward can be used IN Combat, but on a longer cooldown.

New Legendary Traits

These New Legendary Traits may be used when you have 5 of one of the trait lines equipped.

Cool Burn

You understand how to keep cool under intense challenge, this trait enables you to push longer while using the Burn Hot skill, as well as use it more often.

  • Requires 5 Traits from the Bow Master Trait Line
  • +50% Burn Hot Recover Cost
  • -240 Burn Hot Recovery Time
  • +50% Burn Hot Damage

Explosive Arrow

Your distracting shot will daze an opponent for thirty seconds with a shorter cooldown.

  • Requires 5 Traits from the Trapper of Foes Trait Line
  • -120 Distracting Shot Cooldown

Improved Fleet Stance

This drops all the aim requirements for Fleet Stance.

  • Requires 5 Traits from the Huntsmen Trait Line
  • Please Note: This Legendary Drops the focus requirement for Fleet Stance, but you still cannot use ranged skills while moving.

  • Induction Bow Power Cost (-1% to -10%)

Melee Skill Improvements

  • Agile Rejoinder Heal Chance (+1% to +13%)
