I confirm that Gloomleaf drops this item, but drop rate is really bad. Took me about 13 kills to finally get a drop.

Gloomleaf Drops

I expect that some refinements have been made as I have been getting a drop one out of every 2 or 3 kills. The other items dropped including gems and money add up quickly as well.
