Torn claws are necessary for so many different professions at tier one, yet are hard to come by and overpriced at the auction hall. Does anyone know what drops them or a good place to farm them?

Finding Torn Claws

I've had the best luck hunting Torn Claws from the Level 9 Brown-bears and Feral Brown-bears near Staddle and Combe in Bree-land. I'm not surprised they don't show up on the auction hall very often; they're used in so many apprentice-level crafts that most people who get them want to use them themselves, not sell them. Even if people do sell them, they want to make some profit off the time it takes to collect them.

Other places I have seen these drop:

Ered Luin: Lynxes around Thorin's Hall/Frerin's Court; bats and bears around Gondamon. Shire: Bears in the Bindbole near Overhill; bats around Scary and Brockenborings.
