Who We Are

Farewell to Kings was created, in part, by former Officers of other kins within LOTRO. The goal here is not to compete with other kins or force our ideals upon you. Our name alone was chosen and is symbolic of our effort to break away from the Leader/Member relationship.

All to often the terms "hardcore" and "casual" are thrown around these games. Farewell to Kings aims to break from the labels that gamers force on themselves and simply create a fun, relaxing, and challenging atmosphere. In essence, we simply want to give you variety. If you want to RAID, we hope we can provide that for you. If you want to kick back and relax, we hope you can find that here as well.

Our Structure

We do have structure for organizational purposes but rather than one single leader, we implemented a "Council" where every "Council Leader" can vote on the path our kin takes. From the member up through the officer ranks to the council leadership, your voice will be heard and given serious consideration during Council sessions. The Council Leadership is an open leadership. The kin is nothing without it's members and therefore, we will always reward those that go above and beyond the call of duty to bring Farewell to Kings to the forefront of the LOTRO community.

#Membership - Farewell to Kings is an OOC kinship. We are commited to the membership of this kin and will adjust according to direction in the game. Membership in Farewell to Kings gives you a well balanced kin of end game characters as well as early game alts. We hope that we can provide a good home for your characters from level 1 through level 60 and beyond.

#No Drama - Farewell to Kings does not tolerate drama. I am sure that we have all dealt with this in past kins/guilds which is why we have adopted a zero tolerance policy. Any drama will be dealt with swiftly and agressively to insure the rest of the members can enjoy their time here. We all have different personalities and sometimes those personalities can clash, however dealing with it in a mature manner will insure that no action is taken.

#Assistance - By joining Farewell to Kings, we hope we can alleviate that frustration of having to spam the GLFF channel with requests for assistance. Most of our members and our leadership are eager to help at a moments notice, be it levelling up that alt or organizing for a RAID, we will be there!
