The Horn-call of Buckland that has not been sounded in nearly a hundred years echoes across the once peaceful land. Foul deeds arise that have not been attempted in nearly an age are now coming into play, and many are powerless to stop it. However, there is still hope, and strength to be found in the world of men. The elves also are stirring from their forested realms, and the dwarves forsake (for a time) their greedy delving of the earth, even the hobbits sense the dread that has fallen across middle earth, and unexpectedly rise to answer the challenge. This is the setting for Lord of the Rings Online, with Angmar's forces growing in power,and the everpresent menace to the east rising, combining it's might with that of Isengard. Is there any hope? The Defenders of the Faith will not forsake Middle Earth, leaving all thoughts of personal glory aside to ensure that the forces of Good can stand at the last. We also have a higher calling to answer, as our King has gone before us, conquering evil for ever. We take up his banner, and commit to utterly destroying evil in whatever form it may take, whether it be physical or spiritual. We are soldiers of the cross, and covenant to following in His footsteps daily, so that in all things His will may be done.
