[edit] About Heroes of Legend
Heroes of Legend is an active, yet casual kinship on the Brandywine server. We are a kinship that was formed by casual players for casual players. This should not be misunderstood to mean that we are not serious about being a kinship. We believe that above all, a kinship should be driven by friendship, willingness to help one another and playing the game to have fun. We hope to create a home for others like us. We are not hardcore, but a kinship that takes on questing and instances with a balance of seriousness, silliness, and success.
We realize that real life comes first whether you have school, work long hours or have small children. If one wants to play 24 hours a day or can only play once a week, that is fine with us. Nobody will be required to specialize or play a certain way to meet the needs of the kinship.
We are a kinship of casual players focused on group instances, world interaction, crafting, and socializing. We are serious about being an online family and are open to mature fairminded people of all classes and professions. Courteous behavior and a commitment to support our growing kinship community are the primary expectations of all members.
As of now we have about 10 active members and a few members who play occasionally. Many of us are level 60 but we all have lower level alts so we can quest together with our lower level members. If you are looking for people to quest with, run instances with; or if you are new to the game and looking for help or just want some place to chat a little here, play a little there. Then Heroes of Legend may be the kinshup for you and we would be glad to have you as one of our friends.
Our main goal is to have fun and get to know each member of our kinship. We aim to run 6, 12 and 24 man raids and other events on a regular basis. Not every person likes to raid. So, although we encourage it, we do not require that our members participate in raiding. We want our members to enjoy the game by doing what it is they like to do. Whether that be running 6 man instances, raiding, solo or fellowship questing, pvmp, crafting or leveling alts for the fun of it. As long as one is taking part in the kinship in some way, is enjoying the game and feels comfortable with the people around them then all of our goals have been met.
Heroes does not currently have a voice comm. It may be something we add later. But since chat is enabled both in fellowship and in raid, we don't think it is necessary at this moment in time.
Heroes of Legend has a code of conduct that will be strictly enforced.
[edit] Policies and Procedure
- Use of profanity out of context of the occasional casual comment will not be tolerated from HoL members unless you are absolutely certain that it does not bother the other people who you are with. If a conversation bothers someone that conversation must cease or be taken to private chat.
- HoL members are to treat other members and community with respect both in game and on the forums at all times.
- Constructive criticism is fine, but negative comments and accusations are now allowed. You must also be able to take constructive critisism lightly.
- Any Kinship disagreements, concerns, or discussions should be done in private chat or private teamspeak. Never in a group, raid or kinship chat where others that are not involved will be brought into it. If a problem cannot be resolved it should be escalated to an officer, if the problem still cannot be resolved or there is a problem with an officer it should be escalated to the leader/co-leader.
It is the policy of Heroes of Legend to deal with infractions of our rules and principles in measurement with the seriousness of the circumstances. While violation of Heroes of Legend’s rules and procedures are usually dealt with on a per incident basis, the seriousness of the infraction and the history of the kinship member involved are taken into consideration when deciding what course of action the kinship’s officer and leader will take. Possible responses to violation of rules and principles include but are not limited to:
- A private discussion with a kinship officer or leader.
- If applicable, retribution and/or compensation for items, time, and effort in relation to the incident.
- Requirement of a “public” apology to the offended persons in the incident.
- The issuance of a warning against future violation of the same rule(s).
- The issuance of a warning or probation against future violations of any rule or policy.
- Removal from the kinship.
These responses are in no particular order and are subject to change at the discretion of Heroed of Legend, it’s officers and/or it’s leader. By joining Heroes of Legend you agree to the principles, rules, policies and procedures.
