Myrmidons of Númenor

The Myrmidons of Númenor, as a Kinship, is a group dedicated to roleplaying a specific general storyline for the Kinship, and playing storylines that fit into that for thier own characters. We help encourage roleplaying at large in the community of the game, and focus greatly on bringing other aspects of the game such as raiding and PvMP into the RP community on a greater level. It is our belief that through setting the example for others to see, we may affect the attitudes of others to the point where many players will at least acknowledge that casual roleplaying has a very important place in the game and that roleplaying even in a more hardcore extreme is something that is not only acceptable in an MMORPG but also warranted in one such as this. We will be constantly expanding into more and more realms until we have a chapter in each, and will be taking our voice to the forums as well to achieve our goals. We are currently in a state of rebuilding, after falling into disrepair during the absence of our leader for a time(not his fault, billing issue prevented him from logging in and managing the ingame aspects of the guild), and as our leader has returned we are currently launching from the platform of our current rank10 kinship on nimrodel back into the foreground of the community. We currently have a chapter on Nimrodel, and are working in the next week to establish our Brandywine chapter.

Kinship Storyline When the men of the blessed kingdom, known as Númenor, settled middle earth, thier first to set foot on the beaches were thier myrmidons. These were great warriors, defenders of their people, the mariner-armies of thier nation. Later as thier kingdom fell into the sea many of these brave and noble warriors were the ones to sail with Elendil to Middle earth and with him found Arnor and Gondor. Thier descendants defended Arnor for many long years. One in particular, a cavalry captain known as Cain the Dragoon, survived the fall of Arnor and the onslaught of the Witch King. He vowed that he would never rest until he saw the evil that toppled his peoples Kingdom fall into the sea or be buried 'neath the earth. His great grandson Glenn now leads his men, the descendants of the original Myrmidons, against the armys that oppress the land once known as Arnor. Since the founding of the order by Glenn's grandfather they have taken in many like minded and dedicated defenders, even those that are not of the heritage or even race of the old Arnorian defenders. The descendants of the original myrmidons are not to be confused with the Dúnedain, as they have significantly declined beyond the point of most of the Dúnedain through taking on wives from the more common peoples of the land. They are longer lived than most other men, but they are not much stronger, though they seem to be stronger of will. Those seeking to join the ranks of these valiant defenders need seek out a member of the Myrmidons of Númenor, which can be a feat in and of itself, and be granted an audience with one of thier leaders.

Update: After returning from a scouting mission in the Ettenmoors, Tibian the Captain finds his kinship has answered a call to aid the Fellowship and dissapeared on their way through the Mines. Guessing their fate, the presumed last ancestor of Númenórean's Myrmidons assumes control of the kinship and heads after their trail through the Mines of Moria to discover his comrades fate, and get vengeance...

Kinship membership requirements:

1)Must have a desire to play a character under a storyline compatible with the kinship's own.
2)Must be illing to exercise self-discipline.
3)Must have fun 8)
