Recruitment

A budding Rank 8 Elven Kinship open to all sentient virtual beings. We are looking for mature, adult members interested in companionship on their virtual journeys and a bit of public, theatrical role play as often as we can manage it.

Especially interested in attracting musicians and others who'd like to play at enhancing the "worldliness" of LOTRO for all inhabitants through staging regular and impromptu events.

Resources

A good patch of adjacent real estate, around our Kinship Home at 2 Waterbank Road in the Nan Ellui neighborhood of the Elven Falathlorn Homesteads. Einior Tzuzeku's delume house is directly across the road at 1 Waterbank Road. Caun Zarazi has a single house at 3 Waterbank Road. Visitors always welcome.

Goals 2010

In 2010, we hope to increase our numbers sufficiently to host a monthly White Rose Faire on our co-extensive grounds (see Resources below), featuring games and competitions, musical and theatrical performances, vendors of dyes, pipe-weed, fine liquors and other vanity items, as well as a general swap meet for the exchange of (non-binding) outfits and accessories.

Background Info

Kinship thematics are distinctly Non-Violent, Anti-War, Pacifist, with populist religious overtones. Helps if you've actually read J.R.R.Tolkien, rather than just seen the movie, and perhaps have a lingering urge to argue with him....

The kinship is named for "die Weiße Rose," The White Rose, a non-violent resistance group in Nazi Germany, whose core members were arrested by the Gestapo and executed by beheading in 1943, for, among other affronts to national patriotism, opposing the slaughter that has become known as the Holocaust. [1] The kinship name also alludes to attempted suppression of freedom of religion, speech and association by the English Parliament of Charles II through The Conventicle Act of 1664 [2]

Those whose idea of "fun" is playing at blood-thirsty rage and hatred will not be happy in this kinship, to say the least, and should definitely look elsewhere!
