About Band of Hope

Band of Hope (BoH) is a family-friendly, mostly Christian gamer kinship. While all are welcome, most of us do share this common faith. Our kinship chat is mature and free of swearing, and while we do host a website with forums, we primarily use in-game channels, as well as a kinship meeting with prayer and devotions every other week as means of encouraging and communicating with one another.

The kinship is a mix of all ages, genders, casual gamers and role players. Roleplaying is not required in interactions with others outside the guild. It is not required in kinship or fellowship chats, but it is encouraged.

We currently have over 150 members in the kinship.

How Did Band of Hope Begin?

The founder came from a Christian WoW guild.  Membership grew  quickly and continues to grow.  Official leadership has changed a few  times.  However, He who truely leads us remains the same.

Band of Hope is a Christian Lord of the Rings Online Kinship based on the Landroval server.

Our mission is to provide a place in LoTRO where Christians and their families can explore the majesty of middle earth together in a safe, clean environment.

We do not exclude non-Christians, we are happy to have them as long as they understand that the Christian faith will be freely discussed, prayers asked for and lifted up, and that we insist on being free of the coarse and crude topics and language which is so common in online gaming today.

How To Join Band of Hope

All that is required to join us is to speak with a officer in game and affirm you know your joining a Christian guild, and agree to behave accordingly.
