About The Kinship

  • Coruhir: In the city of Minas Tirith lived Landuin, son of Laerendir. In his youth he once became lost in the wood of Anorien, where strange and terrible creatures dwell. Terrified, the child wandered beneath the boughs for hours, while the denizens of the wood stalked his every footfall. It was only the appearance of a great stag that held the child's pursuers at bay. The stag led the child through secret paths to a clearing where the Men of Minas Tirith found him, covered in morning dew and shivering with fear. The grateful child named the stag Coruhir, the Cunning Lord, and though the two never again met, Landuin remembered him all of his days.
  • Server: The Heirs of Coruhir make their home on Landroval. Our Guildportal Site maintains an active forum and archive.
  • Leadership: The Heirs of Coruhir are led along three Ways by Turbarad, Oendir and Nenuvyiel.
  • The Ways of Coruhir: The Three Ways of Coruhir are:
    • The Way of the Cloak and Shield, those who guard, defend and heal, led by Turbarad.
    • The Way of the Knife and Arrow, those who scout, spy and explore, led by Oendir Arrowheart.
    • The Way of the Book and Blade, Warrior-Scholars and war-leaders, led by Nenuvyiel Dinenglir.
  • In The Field Roleplaying: This is a specialty of the kinship. In addition to the sit-down tavern roleplaying, we make it a point to be in-character while we quest out in the world. Additionally, the Ways of Coruhir promote plots, quests and role-play grouping for each member of the kinship to participate in.
  • Recruitment: Application to the kinship and a process of roleplaying through several sessions with as many members as possible, both in the field and in a more relaxed setting are required in order to be sure the kinship is a good fit for a new member! Our application process and rules can be found here at our Guildportal site.
  • Membership Requirements: Because we are a heavy roleplaying kinship, we do ask that you have a good grasp on Tolkien's world of Middle-Earth in order to bring a character to life within it. However, do not require expertise, and are happy to share what we know with those willing to learn!
  • Initiation: Initiations into the kinship are done in-character and in-game. During that initiation, the new recruit gives their oath of service, swearing to protect, guard and serve that which they love. In return, they are offered an introduction to the Maia, Fionwe the Wind-Lord. The members of the Heirs have done great service for the Wind-lord and freed him from a powerful binding, and in return he blesses our company with the ability to speak and hear on the winds whoever also carries the blessing. In this way, we maintain an IC kinship channel.
