The old Dourhand ruin of Orodost lies west-southwest of Noglond. During the Dourhand occupation of Thorin's Gate, Orodost fell into disrepair, and goblins came to its halls. When the dwarves were pushed out of the north, they did not return to their fortress. Recently, the goblin chieftain there has grown more powerful, and the camp has spread to the valley leading to the ruin's great Dwarven stairs.
Despite the disrepair, Orodost still holds many secrets for scholars. The goblins hold trinkets tied to the past, unable to decipher their meaning, and the ruins themselves contain up to two shattered pitchers at a time.
Beyond the steps of Orodost lies the entrance to Sarnúr, an ancient stronghold of the dwarves. Dourhands and more have returned that that place, and the Longbeards of Thorin's Hall hold those who fight them in high regard.
