Legendary Books
You've just hit 39 and are excited to get your first legendary trait. To do so, your character must "read" a book. There are three legendary books per class. Each book must be purchased off of your class trainer for 189 silver each (567 silver total). These books bestow the deeds that allow you to begin working toward your first set of legendary traits. All of the pages you must collect are quest items, which means you can't buy pages off the AH. The areas to get the pages, however, have been expanded. More details below.

Hunter: The Furthest Charge, The Way of the Hunter, A Shot in the Dark
Lore-Master: Of Leaf and Twig, The Book of Beasts, Lore of the Blade
Minstrel: Valour's Marches, Melodies of the Valar, The Rising Chord
Rune-Keeper: Whispers in the Dark, Thunder and Flame, Golu o Maeth
Warden: Bullroarer's Boy, The Watch Against the Night, Chieftains of the Dúnedain
The Pages
You have bought all your books from a class trainer. You're mad because you dropped a lot of money and want to kill things! You're in luck! In order to complete the books, you must find the missing pages, and to do that, you must kill things. Activate (click on) the book and it disappears. A deed will appear in your deed log (not quest log!). Make sure you first go talk to the person that the deed tells you to, or else you can't begin to collect pages. Here is whom each class should seek, after activating (clicking on) the book:
Burglar: Bilbo
Captain: Boromir
Champion: Gimli
Guardian: Samwise
Hunter: Legloas
Lore-Master: Elrond/Gandalf
Minstrel: Lindir
Rune-Keeper: Elrond
Warden: Aragorn
To figure out where you need to look for the pages, open up your Deed Log. Next, click on the Class, Race, Epic tab up top, and make sure the first tab is selected below:
Notice that I have clicked on the name of the book in the left panel, which lists all the deeds you have left to do. If you can't find it, make sure you have the "completed" check box unchecked.
The top four pages of any book (that is 7, 9, 10 and 14 for The Furthest Charge) are found off of any humanoid mob lvl 39+ in Angmar and Eregion. The bottom four pages of any book (17, 18, 21, and 24 in The Furthest Charge) are found off any humanoid mob lvl 39+ in The Misty Mountains and Forochel. I have collected all pages except 7, 9, and 14 for The Furthest Charge so I need to go to either Angmar or Eregion in order to complete the book.
You must be the one killing and collecting these pages. There is no other way to do it.
