Welcome to the home of Legio Victrix (Latin for Legion Victorious). We are a casual gaming community that has been together for nearly three years fighting the evils of Middle Earth. Making the third age safe for the free peoples.

In beta testing of Lord of the Rings Online we were a small band of merry dwarves calling ourselves Dwarf Army. When the threat of the Dark Lord Sauron grew beyond the borders of dwarves we included other classes and became known as the Army of Middle Earth (when the game went live). For two years we battled orcs and goblins alike and tried to stop the growing evil that is the dark lord, but to no avail. Realizing this might that is Sauron stretched further then the borders of Bree, the dwarven lands of Ered Luin, and the Shire. We reformed our fellowship into a legion that symbolizes our goals in this eternal struggle for victory in which we are now known as the Legion Victorious or Legio Victrix. So let it be known throughout Middle Earth, during the third age. That we stood together and fought for the free peoples of Middle Earth under the name Legio Victrix!

[edit] Recruitment

We are a small casual kin looking to recruit others to build our mighty legion. We are looking for others that are mature (not in age but behavior) and wishing to join a kin. There is not a minimum level requirement for a character as many of us have alternate characters at various ranks. Legio Victrix is a team oriented kin that enjoys all aspects of LOTRO, from quests to pvp and even raiding; attendance is not always required but should occur when able. Teamwork with your kinsmen is also important so that we all enjoy the experience; however there is a difference between teamwork and mooching. Legio Victrix uses ventrillo to communicate and is required for instances and raids; if you don’t have a microphone it’s ok but you must be able to hear.

All new kin applicants will be recruits and on a probationary period for 4 weeks prior to promotion to full Kinsman status. During this time you will get a good idea of the kin and it will give you as well as us time to determine if you are a good fit for the kin. Evaluation of all recruits will occur by those in the kin so be sure to group with one or a few of the kin members. Exceptional performance observed by an officer may result in promotion to Kinsman prior to the 4 weeks probationary period. All recruits must follow all Legio Victrix Codes of Conduct.

Code of Conduct

1) Have fun! If you aren't having fun, take a break. We all need to vent sometimes, but excessive complaining makes the game not fun for others.

2) Play Fair, no stealing of others loot. Do not hoard loot from others

3) No Drama, please don’t be a nuisance or drama queen.

4) Respect the Legion, You are a representative of the Legio Victrix, please do not shun us to the rest of the gaming community.

5) Respect the Officers; you do not have to kiss anyone’s arse. Just do not be rude to anyone person in Kinship. Breaking anyone of these rules will result in an officers judgment of the situation, and could result in a booting from kinship. Officer’s decisions are FINAL!
