Introduction
"LOTRO has an interesting way to create some character individuality. This is by the use of traits, which are gained from several methods. These are: Race, Class, Legendary and Virtue. Gaining traits are done differently for each but all are equiped by visiting a bard in Middle Earth." ~Fizen
Traits are gained as follows:
| Race | Gained from killing creatures that have racial hatreds. |
| Class | Gained from using Skills/Spells of your chosen class. |
| Virtues | Gained through exploration of Middle Earth or Purging the lands of foul creatures. |
| Legendary | These are gained through the location of Books and pages. |
Virtues
For ease of reading I've broken the Virtues down, as the end items are the same only differing for the level of the virtue.

The following tables list the number of ranks that can be achieved from deeds by region. Click on the virtue name links to see details about them including which deeds (linked to each deed's page for even more details) for each region award ranks. Note Moria includes deeds listed on the following deed panel tabs: Moria, Moria Lower Deeps, Moria Central Halls, Moria Upper Halls, Instances (Mines of Moria). As of first compiling these two charts the virtue pages don't list deeds from Mirkwood expansion and newer content regions and deeds. Information for those deeds for whatever reason the virtue pages were not updated with those respective official lorebook updates like with prior official update.
