[edit] A title of Sauron, and of his greatest servant
At the time of Sauron's secret re-emergence in the heart of Mirkwood, he was referred to as 'the Sorcerer'. Sauron's servant, the Lord of the Nazgûl, followed his master, and before the Battle of the Pelennor Gandalf also gave this title to him.
