Background
I've always been curious as to what slow travel routes were the longest, so this Welcome Back Weekend (1/22/10) and its 100% stable route discount gave me the perfect opportunity to find out.
Some routes feel long, some feel short, but without timing them there was no way to find out for sure. During the process of timing these routes, I was surprised on several occasions. For instance, I always felt that a trip from West Bree to Hobbiton was longer than the 5:35 it actually is and I could've sworn that the trip from Twenty-first hall to Jazargund was the same length as Esteldin to Othrikar - instead of being less than half the time.
At first I was just going to time the routes to and from Rivendell, as I was sure those were the longest in the game; but then the completionist in me kicked in and some 12 hours later I was timing the last route in Mirkwood.
I hope you find this at least interesting - if not useful in some way. I actually had a lot of fun putting this together, even if its obvious that I had a little too much time on my hands.
