The war between the Iron Crown of Angmar and the Free Peoples of Eriador continues to rage in the Ettenmoors. Amidst the turmoil, keeps constantly fall to one side and then the other. One of the most contested is the central island fortress of Tol Ascarnen. When the Iron Crown controls Tol Ascarnen, it is inhabited by a horde of foul Orcs, trolls, and Wargs.
Among the officers of these vile creatures is the troll taskmaster Raulik. Raulik is a brute who both hates and loves the Elves: despite his loathing of them, he finds that they make for a tasty snack.
In The Lord of the Rings Online, monster players will perform the task of collecting Elf-ears to satiate Raulik’s appetite, while Free Peoples players will seek to slay the troll during their attempts to retake the keep of Tol Ascarnen.
