'For many generations, my family has fished in the Ice Bay, and the spirits of the water have always brought to us a great bounty of fish. I am worried now, though, for my livelihood is being threatened by the Rauta-väki.
'They have come hunting the kantâ for meat, and that has driven them closer and closer to the fishing-grounds that once were free from such danger. It has become so dangerous that I dare not even return to retrieve my fish!
'Go and retrieve my fish-buckets, which still lie where I left them by the shore. Be careful, though, for the bears will be after the fish as well.'
