You discovered a woman's axe among the ruin at Balin's camp. The dwarves believe this points to a women's quarters somewhere in Moria.

'I have studied the carvings on the axe and indeed it is from a chamber somewhere within the Redhorn Lodes. It does not specify where exactly, but see this here...these strange bite marks? I believe those are from gredbyg, and as far as I know, they are only in one place here in these parts of the deeps.

'Head south-west to the Chittering Hole -- that is where the gredbyg are -- and search for the women's quarters.'
