On a clear day, you can see nearly across the expanse of Lake Evendim.

'Before the city became a battleground, I used to come to this place to sit and watch the water. I would spend hours letting my mind wander as I gazed over the small, rippling waves.

'I have not felt peace and contentment like that in a long time. It is something I dearly miss, and I hope that one day I can sit and enjoy that feeling again.

'Let us take a small moment to rest and forget these terrible times we live in. Look to the horizon with me and let us wish for happier times.'

Orchalwë spoke of spending time by the shore looking to the far horizon.

• Find a place to look over Lake Evendim
