Hithlim (NPC)'You have returned at a most opportune time, $PLAYER$. Our scouts tell of a great, armoured troll who walks among his kindred which maintain the siege-weapons of the army at Dol Dínen. They believe he is their captain.
'Trolls, as a rule, are not very smart, but there are those among them with a much greater wit, and these are the most dangerous. If we can destroy this troll, it may throw his brethren into disarray. That will be your task.
'The scouts reported that the great beast retreated deep into Dol Dínen, within the shadow of the mountain overlooking the valley. You must not enter that place without many friends, for the danger is too great.'

The armoured troll can be found within the shadow of the mountain overlooking the valley of Dol Dínen, far to the south-east of Esteldín.
Hithlim has asked you to gather allies and seek out the armoured captain of the trolls in Dol Dínen. With the death of their captain, the Ranger hopes the trolls will be thrown into disarray.
