Perhaps during your travels through the regions around Rivendell you have noticed bands of Men gathering in force here and there -- often in obvious league with other forces from Angmar. These are the Corcur from the far North who claim descent from the ancient kingdom of Rhudaur, which once inhabited the region immediately west of the Misty Mountains.

'While it is most likely that their claims are false, it matters not, for Rhudaur was destroyed long ago after it betrayed its sister kingdoms of the North and threw in its lot with the Witch-king of Angmar.

'Any who wear the signet of Rhudaur are not welcome in our lands, and the Lords of Rivendell will look favourably upon any who wish to hunt down these intruders and show their rings as proof of their defeat.'
