Thaliollang (NPC)'Return to Taur Gonwaith and seek out the caves on its southern edge, near the lake beyond Merenost. Lachenn's last hope was for us to heed his message, and stop this pawn of Angmar before the Stone-trolls do even more damage.

Thaliollang has asked you to defeat the emissary of Angmar that has gained the allegiance of the Stone-trolls.
Thaliollang will be pleased to know that he was correct in his belief: there was an emissary from Angmar among the trolls. To the benefit of all, you have defeated him.
The cave itself is located in the southern portion of Taur Gonwaith. When you see an upward sloping passage with an arch guarded by two trolls, you know you're getting close.
Inside the cave, you'll make your way south into a pool cavern with a large waterfall in the northwest corner. There is a smallish opening behind the waterfall that will allow you to progress. Slide along the wall until you find it.
Past the waterfall, you'll want to work your way to the western end of the cave map. At about the 8 o'clock position is a passage that curves west then south, and declines to an area inhabited by Hillmen and a few more trolls. The chests you need to collect for another quest are also in there.
The boss is in the middle of the end chamber surrounded by Hillmen and trolls. The respawn rate in this room is rather fast. It might be possible for a level 40 group member to single pull the boss - ours did (a 38 could attempt it as well). A more consistent strategy might be to clear some of the wandering Hillmen first, then pull one of the trolls next to the boss; the boss will link, but not the other troll, so you only have to fight two mobs.
I recommend collecting the chests first, then focus on killing the Troll Keeper to finish your quest in case your party wipes from adds. After everything it took to get here, you won't want to make your way back from Gaston's farm and go all the way through this cave again.
