Candaith (NPC)'We cannot stand against the force when they are assembled, but we can once they are splintered. They wish to establish an encampment that will allow them a vantage over the entirety of the Lone-lands. We must foil their plans, (your name)!
'Gather allies and return to me when you are ready. Together we shall scale Amon Sûl and defeat Rigûl, their leader, before he can carry out his master's will!'
The Ranger Candaith asked you to assist him in driving a company of Orcs from Weathertop. He told you to gather allies and return to him when you are prepared.
Candaith is waiting to discuss with you the strange events that occurred atop Amon Sûl.
This quest is acquired from Candaith's camp, just northwest of Weathertop and east of Glumhallow. You'll have to perform a few orc kill quests and a fedex quest to Saerdan in Bree-land and back again before you get this one.
You will be working your way up Weathertop, fighting group of orcs and wargs along the way. The quest itself is fairly easy up until the very end, then it becomes extraordinarily hard.
Spoiler alert
When you get the boss orc low on health, he flees to open a gate, releasing a large troll on your group. This troll hits very hard and has 10k morale. I believe it would be very hard for a level 20 group to finish this quest successfully, but I've seen stranger things. Take blue potions, because the fight will be very long.
Avoid leaving the circle while you fight the troll to prevent pathing and reset problems. You will only be able to attempt this fight once, since Candaith locks the gate behind you. If you fail the quest, you'll have to do it all over again.
