New Features
- Middle-earth welcomes the new Rune-keeper and Warden classes as they join the fight against Sauron! Along with the usual information about these classes, the Lorebook has also been updated to:
- Allow you to find items specific to these classes via the Item Advanced Search.
- Allow you to find NPC trainers for these classes via the NPC Advanced Search.
- Allow you to find quests specific to these classes via the Quest Advanced Search.
- Allow you to find deeds specific to these classes via the Deed Advanced Search.
- The scholars of Middle-earth have uncovered information about Legendary Items. The Lorebook places the following into the category Item Advancement:
- Legendary (advanceable) Items
- Legendary Titles - items you can apply to a legendary item to alter its name/behavior
- Relics - gems, runes, and settings you can slot into a legendary item to provide stat bonuses
- Relics will also be placed in the Relic category and into a specific category based on their type, e.g., Reclic Gems
- All items that create or bestow any of the above
- The scholars have informed us that the tooltips for legendary items in the Lorebook
- Do not display a 'worth' (gold/silver/copper)
- Do display a list of the possible initial legacies that can be applied when the item is identified by a Forge-master
- The legacies are broken down by tier
- The tier names are color coded to indicate how likely you are to get a legacy from that tier; the colors match the item convention -- common, incomparable, etc.
- The Forge-master and Relic-master NPCs have stepped out of the shadows to help the brave warriors of Middle-earth wield their legendary items.
- Both types have been added to the NPC advanced search.
- Trainers around Middle-earth have been discussing Trait Sets, a class specific set of eight traits. Slotting a certain amount of traits from that set will grant specific bonuses to your character. For example, you are a hunter and slot three traits from the hunter trait set The Trapper of Foes. You receive Improved Rain of Thorns and Trap Skills and Reduced ranged damage.
- All trait set articles are placed in the Trait Sets category of the Lorebook.
- All trait set articles are also placed in the appropriate class category, e.g., Hunter Trait Sets
- Every trait set article displays:
- The name of the trait set
- The description for the trait set
- A list of the bonuses you receive based on the number of traits from the set you have slotted
- A table of the icon, name, and description for each trait in the set. The icon and name are links to the article for the trait.
