About The Kinship

Seekers of Knowledge got its birth in a different age...one known as Ultima ((Online)). We joined the forces battling evil a little later than some. The founders had sojourned with another kinship for a brief time, but chose to set our own course.

We have but a few rules for our kin:

1) We have players of all ages that enjoy our kinship, the youngest is about 10 years old and they go up from there. We don't expose these kids to adult content or foul language. Yes, an occasional slip is tolerated, but not on a regular basis.

2) We ask only that you log into your account once every 90 days at the minimum to remain a full member. After an absence of 90 days, you will be demoted and after 150 days you will be released from the kin.

3) We ask that if you need help, don't be afraid to ask! After all, isn't that what a kin is for????

4) We have a 2 week probation period before you will have access to the kin house boxes and all their goodies.

5) This is the BIG ONE: HAVE FUN!!!!!

We specialize in:

  • Following kin mates off deadly cliffs and into purplish dungeons.
  • Learning new areas to the detriment of our armour!
  • Having the resources to craft just about anything imaginable...and the desire to craft some things not yet available!
  • dropping our crafting tools to answer the call of our kin mates in need of assistance, even if they are in Dol Dinen and we are in Mirkwood!

Our philosopy:

We are here for the recreation of the game, and to enjoy the lore as well. We are not heavy into PVMP or Raiding although there is always the opportunity for both of these activities. We are not heavy RP, but you can definitely catch folks slipping in and out of RP on a regular basis. We have no time requirements and ask that if you can, make a kin meeting or two. They can definitely have their rewards. We enjoy helping each other out in crafting, questing and sometimes just socializing.

Recruiting

It is our intent to keep our kinship at a size that will allow for groupings on a regular basis. We will limit the size of the kin based on active players and the desire of the group for raiding activities. We will not allow the kin to grow to the point where we lose the "family" feel that we currently enjoy. We will occasionally publically recruit, but find our best recruits come from being grouped with folks and finding that they truly fit with our kin.

We ARE

  • Here to have fun. Why would we want to pay to have a bad experience?
  • Distracted by shiny things on the ground, shiny new armour pieces and unexplored areas.
  • Totally in to helping kin mates, and some of us enjoy practicing random acts of kindness throughout Middle Earth.

We Are NOT

  • The drama club...take it somewhere else. We all get enough drama in real life, this is our escape!
  • The ultimate END Gamers...while we do enjoy a romp in the purplish dungeons regularly, it is not our sole focus.
  • A charitable institution waiting to support your leveling efforts and then have someone bag on us.
