Player Entry
Wild Attack is an extremely useful skill for the Champion. Its very small cooldown and power cost make it the default Fervour-pip generator.

Wild Attack has two traits associated with it: Blood-lust and Call of the Wild. Wild Attack also directly benefits from the third of five trait set bonuses from The Berserker trait set, which offers Wild Attack additional Critical Rating and Critical Damage (both identical to the Vicious Strikes and Deadly Strikes bonuses given to Strikes skills). Blood-lust allows Wild Attack to generate an additional pip on a critical hit, and Call of the Wild gives Wild Attack a threat generation component. Blood-lust is part of The Berserker trait set and Call of the Wild is part of The Martial Champion trait set.

Wild Attack when Dual Wielding has a Main Hand and an Off Hand component, allowing it to have have an extra opportunity to land a critical hit, and if Blood-lust is slotted, this effectively allows Wild Attack two chances to crit, and thus two chances to generate an additional pip. If slotted three traits deep into Berserker, it gains critical rating, which makes it that much easier to crit to obtain a second pip. Wild Attack will always generate its pip even if all strikes fail.

Because Wild Attack is very cheap and has a very short cooldown, Call of the Wild makes a very effective tool for generating threat for the Champion. The amount of threat generated is uncertain, but the mere fact that hitting Wild Attack often for Fervour pips means whatever that threat number is can add up very easily, which really pays off when tanking is a necessary task for the Champion.

Wild Attack has a significantly long animation time when wielding a two-handed weapon, and only for one strike as opposed to DW's two, meaning Wild Attack may not be an efficient skill to use for generating Fervour pips when wielding a 2her, especially if Blood-lust is equipped.
