Player Entry
Wind-lore reduces ranged offense damage by 50% and adds 20% to attack duration (not shown above). This means that even though Fire-lore is more effective against melee targets, Wind-lore has an effect over and above reducing ranged damage. This is especially important to note in that Fire-lore cannot be cast on certain types of targets (e.g., worms, wights, etc.). So Wind-lore can be used against even melee targets when Fire-lore is still on cooldown or against targets that Fire-lore cannot affect. It may not be as effective against non-ranged attackers, but it still has some value in non-ranged situations.
This skill does not break or prevent mezz.
