Welcome to the Store Release Notes for ‘’’The Lord of the Rings Online™’’’! These release notes were updated Friday, May 20th 2011 with the latest new releases to the LOTRO Store!

New Instances

Instance: Inn of the Forsaken

Tales have spread across Bree and the Lonelands of the noises that fill the Forsaken Inn when the moon is high. Travelers tell stories of a stolen ruby necklace hidden within a maze of twisted caves and protected by traps, riddles, guardians who never sleep, and a ship marooned deep underground. For levels 20-65. FREE FOR VIPS!

Instance: Halls of Night

This story draws from the tales of Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin and their experiences within the Barrow-downs. Nightmare, an ancient Barrow-wight, has trapped your spirit within his mysterious dreamscape. To wake you must battle against the evil that haunts this dream realm, or risk sleeping forever! For levels 40-65. FREE FOR VIPS!

New Skirmishes

Skirmish: The Icy Crevasse

With the aid of the Gauradan and Dourhands, Angmar is planning its next attack! By funneling icy winds through the great Forochel crevasse and down into Evendim, they plan to freeze the lake and march straight through Tinnudir to Annúminas. You must head to the frozen North and stop this sorcerer, before the chill winds freeze everything. For levels 40-65. FREE FOR VIPS!

Skirmish: Attack at Dawn

Esteldín has long been a hidden training ground for Rangers and Free People against Angmar. It is a site the enemy has been desperate to discover and stamp out. While many scouts have been stopped, a lone goblin has learned the location of Esteldín and reported it to his masters. You must venture into the hills of Dol Dinen, and confront the attacking force before it can threaten the sanctity of Esteldín. For levels 30-65. FREE FOR VIPS!

Legendary Items

Relics

Instantly acquire 3 new unique relics, created by the LOTRO Community!

True Setting of Continuance

Get a bonus +250 Morale, +126 in-combat Power Regen, and +1300 Incoming Healing by applying this unique relic to your Legendary Item!

True Gem of the King Under the Mountain

Get a bonus +25 Vitality, +260 Block/Parry/Evade, and +126 in-Combat Morale Regen by applying this unique relic to your Legendary Item!

True Rune of the Dark Watch

Get a bonus +17 to all stats (Might, Agility, Vitality, Will and Fate) by applying this unique relic to your Legendary Item!

Scroll of Combination

Get additional relics during relic combination with the Scroll of Combination! Increases your 'Critical Success' chance to 25% while combining relics at the relic forge. Works when forging relics of tiers 2 through 6. Lasts for 15 minutes.

Cosmetics

Cosmetic Outfit Slots

Unlock two more new cosmetic outfit slots, allowing you to switch to customized outfits on the fly! This brings the total number of available Outfit Slots to seven.

Skirmish Items

Skirmish Mark Refund

Refund all skirmish marks spent on skirmish traits, allowing you to get a reset by spending them differently or barter for that item you need just a few more points for!

Reconnaissance Report

The Reconnaissance Report, which decreases the cooldown of the “Direct Soldier” skill by 25%, has had its duration increased to 60 minutes.

Combat Items

Combat Run Speed Boost

Increase your in-combat movement speed by 20% for 10 seconds. Escape foes, stay out of their reach, or chase them down!

+5% Attack Damage

The +5% Attack Damage item has had its minimum level requirements removed, and can now be used starting from level 1. The lesser damage buffs have been removed from the Store.

Travel

+10% Run Speed Boost (60 min)

Cut down on travel time by running 10% faster out-of-combat for 60 minutes!
