This "Google Middle-Earth" type map is very cool. I hope that the Lotro community contributes to its development.

Leave it where it is

The map is an excellent introduction both to the LOTRO world and to the Google map system. It is not, however, linked to any game quest, but appears based on the information available in the original book. It should be left where it is.

No Obvious Reason for merge proposal

There doesn't seem to be any reason given by the one who proposed the merge or even a decent suggestion of where to merge it.

I believe this was one of the pages I flagged for merging. I had thought at the time the page was related to a quest. This is mainly due to the fact that nothing links to this page and also it is not placed in any categories so for the most part the article is then meaningless because it is just a map that nobody or very few are aware it exists on the lorebook. The page needs to be cleaned up by adding it to an appropriate category, linking to it from relevant page(s) if there are any, and including some desciption or some such content perhaps describing the purpose of the article. Basically flesh it out so there is some know purpose of why it was created etc. -- User:LotRfan2000

This map is linked from the front page of the wiki. It was/is used as an example of what the map feature can do. I remember seeing it first when the map feature went live. I always thought it was put up as an example by the devs but perhaps it was made by someone else and used by the devs? Hope that helps! Euphorbia 13:09, 12 December 2008 (EST)
