Troll Wound-Taker

Has anyone figured out exactly what this thing does? I know he puts some generic wounds on the player and takes some of his Morale and uses it to heal an ally, however... Yesterday I was doing some Lieutenant recon, and got the Troll. I deliberately refrained from hitting him, and killed all but 2 of his allies. I got the morale of his allies low, but didn't kill them(eventually I killed 1 of them. The skirmish was well below level so I wouldn't die). There was 1 time when the Troll faced one of the allies and did his beating-the-ground thing, and healed the ally by sacrificing his own morale. The rest of the time, when he stopped attacking me to do his thing, he turned to the side and did his beating-the-ground thing, but nothing seemed to happen. - Golledhel
