The Big List of Helpful LOTRO Sites
Player Entry
Imported from a forum thread created by Cithryth
- I realized that there is a lot of information floating around for LOTRO on the internet, but I have yet to find one place to organize and give a brief description of many of these sites, so I decided to put together such a list. Obviously it is not complete, so let me know any others you feel should be on the list, what kind of sub-category they would fit and a brief description if you'd like.
- My goal with this is to just help people find information more efficiently.

LOTRO Lorebook Guides
Guides in this Lorebook
- Community Created Guides: An invaluable resource of guides that our own players have put together for you.
Web Tools
These sites provide a very specific purpose to the LOTRO community.
- BurgZerg's Virtues: This page on the BurgZerg site allows players to see which virtues will give them their desired output by sorting virtues by stat and also looking up all deeds that give the virtues you want. You can even print out a list of your deeds for virtues you want to work on after you have chosen them.
- Chordian's Barterers: On this page, players can search for specific items or look at which vendors barter what items in Lothlorien, Moria, or Mirkwood. This includes crafting, skirmish barterers, and reputation items. Images of items that have a cosmetic quality are even provided.
- Lord of the Logs and CStats: Lord of the Logs is a site that provides the download of CStats, the premiere damage parser for LOTRO. Lord of the Logs also provides a place to upload CStats analyses and compare to others.
- LOTRO Dynamic Map: I always use the map when I can't find something in-game. It gives the in-game map of every region and all the points of interest, NPCs and random items that are found on the landscape. Really great tool for questing and deeding.
- LOTRO Interface: The go-to place for customizing your user interface. Whether you want a completely re-done UI or just certain pieces changed, everything is here. Also has DDO custom UIs.
- Legendary Item Point Spender, from mmorsel: With this interesting tool, you can use the parameters listed to set up your current LI and spend the points as you wish to see how it would turn out without having to actually keep spending all your points in-game and using Scrolls of Renewal. (see mmorsel under 'Info Sites')
- Nav's Conjuction Tutorial: An interactive flash tutorial and practice game that teaches the fundamentals of fellowship maneuvers. After enough practice, our relatively casual kin is able to pull off fellowship maneuvers anytime without further preparation of which one to do.
- Server Status Checker: It's patch day and you are anxiously awaiting the game coming back up. Is your server up? Is it down? Find out!
- The Fat Lute: An incredible database of download-able .ABC files for you serenading pleasure. You can also upload any .ABC files you have created.
- Turbine Points Finder, from mmorsel: TP Finder lists deeds by zone, instance or quest pack and includes the deed objectives, the Turbine Points per deed and the total Turbine Points for the selected zone, instance or quest pack. (see mmorsel under 'Info Sites')
- Virtue Points Finder, from mmorsel: Virtue Finder helps you find the deeds you'll need to complete for the virtues or stats you want. You can search by virtue, by zone, by content pack and even by the bonuses you'll get when you slot the virtue trait. The results including key details for completing each deed and a printable checklist. (see mmorsel under 'Info Sites')
A. Crafting
- Axe-I-Dent's Crafting Calculator: The goal of this site is to provide you with a detailed and accurate shopping list of ingredients based on what you want to craft and what skills you have available. This calculator allows you to choose multiple items and creates a master shopping list for them all.
- Darzil's Crafting Guide: This site is great for those who love putting outfits together. It lists all craftable armour, weapons and jewelry along with the stats, and shows a picture for each item or set of items. It also shows the barterable armour sets available in game and their appearances.
- Nav's LOTRO Crafting Calculator: Now complete! This crafting calculator tells you how much it is to make any amount of a certain item, including how much it costs other crafters to make components you need and which components you need. No more switching to alts to see what materials you need.
- Lotro-Rares.com: A site listing all pre-Moria shard droppers. Gives the name of the mob, a picture, spawn and/or roaming locations, and what type of shard is dropped.
B. Kinships
- LFKin: A wonderful site where you can post an ad either for your character or your kinship so others can see you if you are in need of a kin or are looking to expand your kin's numbers.
- LOTRO Guilds: A site that lists kins accross all servers and what each kin is all about. They also host screenshots and post articles and videos.
- LOTRO Kinfinder: A site to help people find the kin right for them, start a new kin, for kins to find the right members, and to help kinships form alliances. It also is a place for kin leaders to seek advice from others and help plan events.
- LOTRO Kinship Leaders: A community for kinship leaders to discuss kin events and to organize.
C. PvMP
- Daily PvMP Statistics: A more advanced PvMP leaderboard system than the one currently in My.Lotro. Shows daily results, most active players, and more.
- PvMP Statistics: An interesting site displaying statistics for different servers (or all servers), searchable by date and rank.
- Creep Monster Manual: Strategies, quests, maps, you name it, it's in here

How to Add an Entry
If you want to add a site yourself, just follow these guidlines.
- To add a site:
- 1. Log into the lorebook (you will see the "edit" tags on the right side of the article)
- 2. Go to the correct section for the type of item you're adding
- 3. Hit edit for that section
- 4. Find where you want to insert it, try to keep things in alphabetical order within each section to help people find things quickly.
- 5.A colon (:) symbol at the beginning of a line makes it indent ( 2 colons (::) make it indent more). Leave a line before and after your entry.
- 6. To make a url show with just the common name you format it like this: [http...rest of link then a space then the text you want to show]: From here you want to briefly describe the site/resource.
- 7. Hit the "Show Preview" button at the bottom to check to see if it looks right. If it does then click "Save Page". If something is wrong, go back and fix it or if you can't make it work hit cancel.
See.....you can wiki too :)
