Bio

A little history if I may... My name is Aeglis Aglar, son of Anthillian. My story is a sad story of love. My mother, Eonis, the only child of Gil-Galad (the last great Elf-King) was banished from the lands of Lindon, when the king fell to the blade of Cirdan and his minions. It was a battle of jealousy, for Cirdan wanted the woman who was bound to Gil-Galad. When the king fell, Cirdan forced himself to the throne, and cast my mother out of the land. Alone and scared, she traveled south along the river Lune until she was taken in by a metalsmith in Celondim. Many years later she met a man from Bree. Anthillian was a noble man, a member of the Free Peoples army and a mighty Guardian to those around him. Their love was at first site. She first gazed upon him as he marched out of the South Gate, to travel deep into the lonelands, wearing his suit of armour, she new one day she would be the woman by his side. Upon his return, she was at the gate to greet him, with warm food, ale, and all the love she had in her heart. They built a nice home on the northern slopes of Bree, and Anthillian took up the craft of metalsmithing. He said this made my mother feel more at home, with her father being of the same craft. Several years later, I was brought into Middle Earth, along with my younger brother Gildair. Gildair is man of many talents, for his songs of healing are of such soothing sounds, and his jewelery is of such fine craftmanship, I know our father would be proud. When I was only a boy, our father was taken from us by a perilous journey to Angmar. Ive sworn to this day, that I will avenge my fathers death, and when my mother passed on, I joined with a group of outcasts, to form what is now known as the Shadow Walkers. We are a mix of many races, and to us no race holds a higher position than that of any other. We are equal, for we all have had our own trials and tribulations, but together united, we face them together.

Some say the throne of Lindon belongs to that of the first son of the only daughter of Gil-Galad.... (sigh) I have better things to do, this world is at war, and it is my oath to join together with the armies of the Free People and defend Middle Earth, for if we lose this war, the question of the rightful king will no longer be a question needing an answer.

Along my journeys I have met many brave and wise people. Some elves, hobbits, dwarves and men. I met my wife.. a funny story that is. She was on a hunting expedition in the High Moor, something about some rare breed of lynx.. I think she was a bit out of it.. but anyhow... as I was returning to Rivendale to give my report to Elrond.. she came tumbling down the hill towards the Ford with about 6 bears chasing her. I quickly jumped in front of her, drew my sword and laid into the bears like she had never seen. I think for her it was love at first sight.. for me it was the Damsel in Distress routine she through at me. I often wondered why a passerby called me a sucker and laughed. haha.. oh well.

So together we have been ever since. sigh... what a wonderful life I have back at home. Just wish there was less fighting in Angmar so I could raise a family.

Anyhow.. to continue on... The news I got from Elrond was not good at all. The task he had given me was one that I did not think I nor my small band of Shadow Walkers could handle alone. So we set out in all directions to find more outcasts who would band with us.. take up arms and fight this wretched evil. Several small groups we came across were quick to unite with us, and swore to fight by my side wherever I would lead. This make me very happy and at last we had grown from a small band of Fighters to nearly an Army.

We traveled into Angmar, first in small groups, then as we discovered just how powerful this ancient evil we were to face were.. we gathered more for each of our trips. We have fought for the Council of the North and drove chased evil deep inside of Urugarth, Carn Dum and even Barad Gularan. I knew with the amount of victories we were achieving we would be called to other lands... in my heart I feared this, but this would be a fear I could not show.

The call came in the form of a messenger. A little Hobbit named Ivylynn. How she was able to travel so deep into angmar to find us, was quickly revealed when she came unstealth with a quick trip of my legs and a sharp dagger to my throat. "Are you Aeglis Aglar?". I was take by surprise.. not to mention my breath had been taken when I thumped onto the ground. "Answer me you cowardly Elf." Ok, now this little Hobbit was about to get stomped. I grabber her stubby little arm, quickly overpowered her. Threw her to the wall and held the tip of my blade just inches from her throat. "You call on me little half-ling? What is your business?".

Poor little thing started to cry.. I couldnt let her go though.. she was about to slice my throat. What was I to do.... suddenly *poof*.. she disappeared.

We looked and looked but could not find her.. only a note left on the ground...

"Aeglis, it is bad news that I am forced to write to you. But we need your help. We have heard stories of your success in Angmar, and with the defeat of our last great leader... you are the only one who can take us to victory". Great I thought.. why me?

"There is a group of giant folk who dwell deep inside the earth.. far to the north east of where you have been fighting. The road to get there is very dangerous and guarded by Evil Giants and Trolls. You must seek out these Giants who call themselves the Eld Gang. They will have the answers we have been seeking for years."

Signed,

Aragorn

So of course, I told my group of this news.. and without much hesitation.. we quickly packed up camp and headed of to the NE. Not really sure what we would find.. but anxious to find something more than the barren wasteland we were in.

After many days of traveling and fighting.. we came across a camp high on a hill. The Rangers here were kind.. and gave us some great challenges. Not to mention the gear they have crafted was of the highest quality.. though it would not come without a price. They were after some rare gems.. hidded deep inside this cave.. though they feared going in after them.

This wasnt the reason we were here.. in fact i was sure what the reason was. But I felt drawn to this cave something fierce. I wasted no time.. gathered 11 of my finest and marched straight into that cave.....

The loss of many of my soldiers still rests heavy on my heart... *sigh* I dare not speak of what ive seen or been a part of within this cave. I only wish to tell you that its over. Never again will the evil that dwells in that cave cause a problem to anyone. For it was my mighty sword.... well... lets just say its dead.
