Player Characters

All player characters are on the Landroval server.

  • Brubaker Redford (65 Warden) -- named after the Warden Brubaker, from the movie Brubaker, as played by Robert Redford.
  • Surelock Homes (65 Lore-master) -- along with his trusty companion Whatson, Surelock is a Lore-master who travels the world parsing every creature then adding their stats to the Lorebook. The goal is to eventually make every creature page look like the sample one show on this test page.
  • Monson (51 Captain) He was a tactical/fate captain, basically what a Warden is now but without the self heals, ports, and ranged attacks that make a Warden so much fun to play. What with the changes to tactical crits, how fate works, and weapon damage that came with the Moria expansion and Volume 2 Book 7, he was pretty gimped and I retired him to bring Brubaker up. I now keep him around to port people back and forth across the Trollshaws for the book quests there and to help with the Moria intro instance (I have purposefully never completed the final one with him so that I can continue to help people do the fellowship quests in there). He's pretty uber for the Moria intro instance now, but it's normally pretty difficult to find other people to do all the quests in there now, so he's staying retired.
  • Bankmule (low level Champion) -- I had this idea about how to rp a character with the name of Bankmule -- someone who had worked for decades as a mule (carrier) for the Bree-land bank. Honestly, how else do you think all the banks across the world standardize your accounts so that the same ammount is reported in each place? See Roleplay#Good_roleplaying_names
  • Tevye (low level Minstrel) -- Yes, Tevye wasn't the Fiddler on the Roof, but it's a nice nod anyway. ;)

Significant Contributions

This is roughly in order of how proud I am. Virtually everything could use some more work here and there -- send me a message and let me know what I should work on next.

Cool Things

  • Relics -- all relics, their stats, images
  • Skirmish -- top down overview of Skirmishes which directs you to every other Skirmish page if you want to learn more.
  • Allies of the King -- the Volume 3 Book 1 overview which directs you to all the quests for Volume 3 Book 1 Chapter 1, which contains all of the quest dialogue to allow you to experience the full story of Volume 3 Book 1. I got all the dialogue text out in the first 12 hours after Book 1 was released (including the chapter 5 map showing how to find the statues), which means that I was almost a week faster than the "official" quest pages which (like all quest pages) lack the quest dialogue.
  • Knowledge of the Lore-master template -- a template which allows for KotLm parses to be displayed on the Lorebook, as you can see on this test page.
  • Radiance armour -- brief runthrough of what the various radiance armour sets are and how to get them
  • Accents -- Shows how to make the most usual LotRO "special characters" such as á, é, í, ó, ú, ý, for example.

From someone else

  • Plural -- Not from me, it's the Lorebook version of Berephon's post on plurals.
