Description
Appearance
Nailawyn towers 1.62 meter, has very deep and blue eyes, long and soft red hair usually held by a golden Tiara she received as a gift from Lady Éowyn. Her body isn't skinny, as any female Rohirrim, she is strong and well formed. Her favorite part of herself is her feet, and the part she dislikes the most is her cheek and (as most women) her breast.
Personality
Kind and generous, Nailawyn is a extreme person. Her strong heart and at the same time pure and naive, makes her be loved by many and hated by some. She will always fight side-by-side with the people she cares, even if it's a fight to the death. She loves the nature and the animals, altough she appreciates a good boiled steak with eggs. She doesn't like mathoms. But she collects them for silly hobbits.
Biography
Early Begginings
Nailawyn Hasúlmer was born in the middle of a harsh winter at the little town of Eodollas, in the riddermark of Rohan. She has the eyes of her father, her mother's hair and the courage of a woman from the riders' lands. As a smith and horsebreeder, her father Baldoer Hasúlmer had the important task to always keep the blades sharp, the horseshoes straight and the small contingent of Eodollas' horses healthy. Her mother was a simple woman, but strong of heart. She was a farmer named Ariela. Both of them were able to give Nailawyn a peaceful and happy beggining...
Troubled Childhood
At the age of five, the kingdom of Rohan was facing a growing threat: Each day, more and more goblins raids from the southern mountains started to sack the villages of the Mark. Then orcs and dread wolves came from the northlands. In a sad October, one of the rohirrim marshals, Éomer, left Édoras to pursue a routing goblin raid after a battle near the rivers. This pursuit ended up in a change of plans from the Goblins' Chieftain, Grigzäg: Nailawyn was separated from her family after the goblins sacked and destroyed Eodollas. Living among refugees at Édoras, a strong will and desire for vengenance growth inside her heart...
More Troubles and Misfortunes
At seven, Nailawyn started disguising herself as a boy to play swordfighting with the other children. In the beggining, she always got hurt or cried but after some time she was able to fight beautifully. In her heart, all she wanted was revenge against Grigzäg. When she was ten, on a sunday morning, she received word about a distant uncle that could take care of her. It was a great thing to know, although this distant uncle was a famous merchant and were currently at Dale, too far to take her "home". Months went away and nothing new about her uncle. Everything looked fine until the day she couldn't hide her female heart anymore... On that day, the other boys from the training grounds took off her leather cap and discovered the truth. She was blamed and kicked out from the place, tears pouring through her face. Lost and unhappy, she was walking back to the refugee house when a beautiful lady stopped her. She was young and nice, her sweet and at the same time strong voice could enchance anyone. Nailawyn never forget her words: " Don't you cry, dear girl. Blind are the eyes of those who can't see the fiercest of hearts... You have a gift and I'll help you. " So said Lady Éowyn from the Golden Hall.
Revenge
For three and a half years, Nailawyn and Lady Éowyn developed a strong friendship and improved their skills with a blade and a horse. She gave Nailawyn a simple house and a steed, everyday they met each other to train and talk. At the age of fourteen, Nailawyn heard about strange rumours on the East. Shadows started moving and dark clouds covered the fields near the darkest of lands: Mordor. Trade routes started being sacked by the goblins of the past, and in no time Rohan was alone. The constant sackings and the rumours of the people of Rohan selling black horses to the lord of Baräd-Dûr left the kingdom in rags. In a black night without moon, word spread around Édoras that a Goblin Chieftain named Grigzäg was preparing to attack the city. Without further toughts or hesitation, Nailawyn rode into the night fog... It was a tough battle, she was terribly outnumbered and underpowered. Enemy after enemy, she cut through the Goblin camp until she reached the big tent. Grigzäg was there, laughing. With a sonorous cry, she rushed into the tent and sticked her sword into his heart. Finally... She fell on the ground, feeling her wounds' pain, right before two éoreds of Rohirrim led by Éomer and Grimbold attacked the camp.
End of Troubles
Nailawyn was rescued barely breathing. She was treated at the healer in Édoras and after two weeks she was conscious and fine again. She received many mérits and honours for her bravery that "Took out the Goblin leadership!" as Éomer said. But she also received a very angry lecture from Éowyn, that was mad and happy at the same time. In her heart, the feelings that were trapped all this time finally were able to come in... She finally felt alive again, after all those years seeking revenge. As a result, she forgot the sword and horse and started a new life singing, playing the lute and the clarinet and assumed the post of Matron in the refugee house, taking care of the children and old people there. At night, she used to go to the taverns to listen to the stories of many adventurers that passed through Édoras... Inside her heart a desire to see the world was growing... A desire to see and change...
Arriving Desire
In her seventeen birthday, the distant uncle finally appeared and offered to take care of Nailawyn, who was already the loved matron from the refugee camp. She accepted because the uncle was a famous trader and she would travel all around Middle-Earth, as she have been desiring for so long... But that didn't lasted enough: In the first time at Eriador, heading to Bree, the merchant's Caravan was attacked by the evil Blackwold thieves and Nailawyn was made hostage. She managed to escape with the help of the Ranger Amdir and decided to travel alone, helping people in need with her stories and heart will... Then, someday, she could go back to Rohan and help her people.
The Road is long, so does the Journey...
After escaping the Blackwold, Nailawyn had an important part in the defense of Archet from the bandits attack. As a great Minstrel, she is also indirectly involved in many great deeds and even in the War of The Ring, helping Aragorn, Gandalf, Elrond and the Fellowship of the Ring with important tasks, searching the lost materials for the reforjing of Narsil so it can be held by it's true king. She also helped in the unification of the Council of the North, in the cleansing of the Barrow-Downs, Old Forest, Fornost and many other corrupted places... It seems that Nailawyn still has a great journey in her way... All she need to do is keep singing and walking forward. Always forward.
