Description

Physical Description: Fími is a grey-haired Dwarf with bushy eyebrows and an enormous, protruding nose. His age is nearly impossible to guess from his looks. Although he hails from the Lonely Mountain, he was very likely born elsewhere; as only the oldest Dwarves would have been born in the days before Smaug's residence in the Mountain, and only the youngest would have been born in the days after.

Fími's voice is rich and musical, and he can mimic the songs of many kinds of birds with uncanny accuracy. He can also bellow a very convincing battle-cry, intimidating would-be attackers, and this little trick has gotten him out of dangerous fights more than once.

• As a performer, Fími relies on goodwill for his livelihood. Therefore he tries to stay on friendly terms with all folk who might be hoped to provide an audience. He has entertained in houses and halls from Lindon to the Iron Hills; and if his travels have not brought him fame or fortune, they at least have not made him many enemies.
