Description

Physical Description: Standing at four feet eleven inches, Kreshnek has a long braided beard, and a single pony tail on the back of his head. He is unusually tall for a dwarf, whom usually are only 4 feet tall at most. He is very strong and muscular and has on record lifted five hobbits with one arm.

Personality: Kreshnek is a kind dwarf of Durin's Folk, who mostly spends his time outside of his home in Thorin's Halls in the Blue Mountains. He has been frequently spotted in the Elven city of Rivendell, for he has very close friendships with elves which is very odd for dwarves. On the subject of Kreshnek's differences from his fellow dwarves, he tends to be less greedy and then most and he seems more concerned with the evil's of Angmar and Mordor than Gold and Mithril. But do not let his good nature fool you, for like most dwarves he has a very short temper and will quickly anger if provoked.

Biography

Kreshnek was born in Thorin's Halls late in the third age. His father, Kartek Ironforge, had been a dwarf of the Lonely Mountain in the olden days before it was decemated by the dragon Smaug. Through most of his early years, Kreshnek aspired to be a great loremaster, and was taught the ways of the Istari from his mentor Gandalf. At the age of forty-nine, Kreshnek aided his cousin, Thorin Oakenshield, prepare for his long journey to the Lonely Mountain to reclaim his kingdom from Smaug. During this time he was forced into a small battle with Golbins and discovered his true passion was that of a Champions. Not long after Thorin had left, Kartek left with Dain Ironfoot to go and battle in the Battle of Five Armies, and never returned. Sixty-five years later he was apppointed by king Dain to be the advisor of Gormr Dourhand at Thorins Halls. Kreshnek was the key to discovering the Dourhand's evil plans, and while Lord Dwalin and Kreshnek's elf-friend Kolmalthir Evellion tried to halt the resurection of the Dourhands long deceased leader, Skorgrim Dourhand, he led an attack inside Thorin's Halls to rid it of the Dourhands. For his bravery Kreshnek was appointed Lord of Thorin's Halls with Lord Dwalin as his advisor by King Dain. After one and a half years as king, he gave up his position to Lord Dwalin because of the stress it came with. Dwalin gave him his old job and Kreshnek became the Steward of Thorin's Halls. Since then he has performed an immensely important role in Eriador's safety. He has been part of vital task such as: the assembling of the Council of the North, the Assasination of Skorgrim Dourhand, the liberation of Annuminas, the Assasination of the False King Mordirith, the constant raids on the Rift of Nurz Gashu, and the continuing battle against Amarthiel Champion of Angmar and her search for her ring Narchuil. He is also one of the only people to have come in contact and frequently coverse with the mysterious Tom Bombadil.
