Description

Baynere is a tall, thin, muscular man. He has a very gentle look about him, and is not at all intimidating while he is walking around admiring the beauty that surrounds him.

This young hunter always looks as though he is in deep thought. A look as though he is remembering something painful, yet making the best of it. His face always has a kind and gentle smile across his lips, as well as an intense look to his blue eyes, as if you truly can see his soul through his eyes.

Always well-kept, you would never think him to be a hunter, nor a man that would get his hands dirty. He almost has the presence of an elf, yet he is without a doubt a true male amongst the race of man.

Biography

Baynere grew up in Rohan with his older brother Keha. They will always close siblings, always defending each other through troubling times. It was not very often you would see one without the other, only if they absolutely had to separate for one reason or another.

Keha, four years older than Baynere had set out a bit earlier than his brother to learn how to defend his land and family from any threat that may arise. He was a natural Swordsman and leader, needing to spend very little time practicing his skills away from home. Baynere always looked up to him, yet he did not take the same path as his brother.

At the age of 27, Keha defended his family as their village was raided, and the family was chased from their home, and separated in the chaos. Keha found himself in the town of Bree after many nights of camping in the wilderness, escaping the chaos. Every moment his mind was on his family, yet he knew he could not turn back.

Keha found a home amongst a militia that welcomed him with open arms. He always remembered his upbringing, but would never speak of it again.

Baynere found himself mixed in the wrong crowd, doing things which he would never think of doing before the raid. He became a scoundrel, doing anything he could to get by. He spent many days with assassins and thieves which became his friends. Always trying to convince him to join them on "a days work," Baynere fought to stay away from trouble, sticking to begging and tricking people into giving him what he needed. He learned how to live off of his surroundings, while also learning how to wield a longbow, axes, swords, and daggers to hunt for prey, and defend himself if necessary. He learned how to live amongst the trees and wilderness as well. He could not always find things to eat, so he becoming quite a good farmer and a decent cook.

One day an assassin friend of his was speaking of a contract job that he had gotten the night before. He spoke of a mercenary that was remarkably skilled with a sword, staring up trouble for some of the "seedier" citizens of Bree Town. He was asked by a mysterious woman to dispatch of this "so-called hero." Baynere, hearing the conversation joined in and asked some questions. After a few moments, he realized that this mysterious swordsman could well be his brother, and decided to secretly scout out the area ahead of time.

Baynere set out the following morning to the area described by the assassin. He kept to the shadows, keeping his eyes on the rooftops for any signs of marksmen that might be ready to take a shot at the target.

Passing by the Prancing Pony, he noticed a man with a large shiny sword on his back, and from a distance the man's build resembled Keha's. Baynere quickly took to a nearby roof, quickly moving to get a better look at the man. Jumping from one roof to another in complete silence, Baynere got ahead of the man to get a look at him. Crouching down on the rooftop, blocking the sun from his eyes, he catches a glimpse of the man's face. It was Keha indeed, casually walking down the road away from the Prancing Pony. Baynere was incredibly excited, and incredibly terrified that his brother might be walking straight towards his death.

As fast as he could, Baynere sprung from the rooftop into a dark alley, quickly running to a dark location that would be perfect for an assassination. He took both daggers from his sides, and sat quietly in the darkness, awaiting to see the assassin he knew would be there to eliminate his brother. It did not take very long before two men came up from the back of his hiding spot, one was the man he spoke with the night before regarding the assassination, the other a stranger. Baynere lunged towards them, plunging one dagger deeply into the strangers left shoulder. The other assassin quickly landed a well-placed kick to Baynere's rib cage. Baynere fell back, losing one of his daggers. He sat for a moment to catch his breath before tripping the assassin and jumping onto him. The young Baynere trying to plunge the dagger into the assassin's heart was being held back by the assassin which was much stronger than himself. The dagger was only centimeters away when the assassin finally turned over and kicked Baynere directly in the forehead, rendering him unconscious.

Moments later which seemed like hours, Baynere looked around for his daggers, but did not see them. Rush for time, he quickly caught up with the assassin on a rooftop, and he saw the stranger with the dagger in his shoulder not very far away, coming to aid the assassin. A brawl broke out between the three, and no longer was a stealthy attack possible. Keha heard the commotion and looked up with curiosity. He saw a man being held by two people being punched repeatedly in the stomach. He caught a quick glimpse of the man, and noticed it was his little brother. Keha quickly drew his sword and went around to the back of the building where some crates were stacked. He quickly climbed them, determined to reach his brother as quickly as possible. Baynere landed a few good blows to the stranger, knocking him down. He then turned his attention to the assassin, beating him senseless. Sensing somebody walking up on him, he grabbed a dagger from the side of the assassin. Adrenaline flowing, he turned around and simply plunged a dagger into the heart of who he thought was the stranger, and quickly realized it was his brother.

Baynere is now tormented to live his life knowing that he accidentally killed his brother, the one person he has always looked up to in life. Trying to regain himself from this horrible act, he now serves with The Rohirrim, selflessly helping others in any way possible, never again to talk of this tragedy.
