Physical description

Grabesh is very young, not even really an adult, but her face and skin are prematurely lined. Her facial structure is also somewhat brutish; combined with the fact that she has very large bones and lots of muscles, she looks like a bit of a thug. Despite being just a few years past puberty, she has a well-developed bosom to match her overall size - a source of some embarassment to her.

Clothing

Grabesh always tries to appear as non-threatening as possible. When she is in a town, she almost always hides her weapons and wears ill-made, brightly-coloured armour. She doesn't have much sense of style, so her outfits are usually pretty ugly, and sometimes just accentuate her over-large frame, but she figures that it's better to be laughed at for being ugly than to be chased away for being scary.

When she is out hunting, or if she's in a town that is just too dangerous not to wear weapons and good armour, Grabesh wears a combination of heavy chainmaille and platemaille. Since this makes her seem more intimidating than her usual light outfits, she also wears a thick cloak and hood to hide her features.

Personality

Grabesh is still young, and trying to figure out who and what she is. She tends to mold her behavior and language to match those around her.

She is naturally brash, and has a bit of a temper. However, she's also a scared girl in a strange new environment, so she is very shy. If she finds an action that was once successful for her, she'll do it enthusiastically over and over, rather then try a new way of dealing with people.

Grabesh often uses a bit of Buurz-blah, especially when angry or flustered (or drunk). She almost always corrects herself with Common-Speech, though.

Not-so-commonly-known facts

Though barely more than a girl, Grabesh is big, ugly, and VERY strong. There's a good reason for that . .

Half-orcs can be made by magic, or bred between Humans and Orcs, or bred between two Half-Orcs. But for some reason female Half-Orcs, while not unknown, are very rare. When one is born, they are kept in Orc-guarded breeding camps, along with captured Women.

Grabesh was one of these rare children. She would not have lasted long, but some of the Women with her escaped from the Orc-camp and brought her with them to safety. One of them made the long trip back to Bree, and Grabesh followed her there.

Now she wanders the lands, looking for some purpose to her life. But a Half-Orc is not trusted by many. Even those who do not believe her to be evil are often uncomfortable around her - if nothing else, she is a constant reminder of the wicked and terrible things being done . .

Personality note

She grew up in a split environment: raised by the Women who were brought to the camp, kept for a while, then 'disappeared' and replaced; but also raised by the Orcs who kept the camp and ruled over every aspect of it. She wanted to please the Women who loved her - her 'mothers' - but needed to please the Orcs just to stay alive. Needless to say she had a very confusing childhood, one that kept her always looking to others for cues to proper behavior.
